The West End Edibles project has delivered over 30 Growing Packs to people and organisations across the community, with everything required to grow local veg – much of which will be planted out in locations across the West End for everybody to access. Details of forthcoming Covid-secure community planting sessions will be shared on the West End Edibles Facebook group once they’re confirmed. Everyone is invited and welcome to come along, no experience necessary – just a love of free food!
Following consultation with the Friends of Alexandra Square, West End Edibles also planted a selection of herbs and fruit bushes in the square, which will be providing rich pickings from this summer onwards. So next time you’re in Alexandra Square, grab a few berries!
